Today is a GREAT DAY in the life of Ringgold UMC! It’s a great day to do something you have never done before. Two opportunities below:
Recovery at Ringgold 2nd Anniversary Celebration – TONIGHT
Join in for a donations dinner at 6pm, for worship at 7pm (featuring founder Rev. Mark Beebe live and in person), followed by Open Share Groups for your hurts, habits and hang-ups. God has done, is doing, and will do miracles in our midst – come and see! Especially if you have never experienced R@R, find those car keys!
Give Some Feedback
Remember back in August when we were talking about changing our worship schedule? One of the things we said was that we considered the effort an experiment that would last at least eight weeks. Well . . . it’s been eight weeks. We would love your feedback. Click this link to let us know what you think! Ha, I rhymed. Thinking about becoming a rapper. Seriously, eight questions here:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K9HP3ZG

God’s Vision > Our Hope Commitment Sunday – Nov. 8th
This will be a day of glorifying God and bringing our commitments to church to pray over them as we begin this season together. During worship we will ask every person to bring a card (blank or filled-in) to the front as a symbol of our journey together. Regardless of your actual financial commitment there will be ways for everyone to participate. We will invite you to pray at the altar and no one will be singled out.
God’s Vision > Our Hope Reveal Sunday – Nov. 15th
Come celebrate what God is doing in our midst as we reveal final the final pledged amount. You will also be invited to share a first fruits offering toward your pledge on this Sunday. Going to be a fun, exciting day and our church celebrates together.

Halloween After Party
On November 1 @ 6p, the youth will have a special night for youth as we gather for a Halloween After Party. We will have a costume contest, food, games, and music. This is an excellent opportunity for youth to invite their friends to attend.
Christmas Reverse Progressive Dinner
On December 13, the youth will have a Christmas dinner in which we will do a reverse progressive dinner. We will eat three courses: dessert, main course, and appetizer in that order. The youth will gather at the church at 6p and then split into two groups (middle school and high school) to travel to their first stop at a family’s home where they will have dessert. The group will stay at that house for about thirty minutes and then travel to their second stop at a family’s house where they will have the main course. After thirty minutes or so, the two groups will come back together at the church for a gift exchange, games, and appetizers. I have setup a form where you can let us know how you can help and in what way you are interested in assisting. Please follow this link to volunteer (https://ringgoldumc.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=23)
The balance of $85 is due by Nov 4. Also, we will have a Parent and Youth Meeting for the Fall Retreat on Nov 1 @ 8p (MANDATORY).
On November 17, the Nicaragua Mission Team will be hosting a dinner and auction in the gym. We need a team of youth to be servers for this mission’s dinner. The youth would dress nice for the event and wait on tables while people are eating. This is an excellent way for youth to volunteer and participate in an amazing event that will raise money for an international mission. Message/reply if your student is interested.|
May God Bless You,

All Saints Day – November 1st
RUMC has a tradition of remembering the saints that have gone on ahead of us in the past year on All Saints Day. We will remember specifically those members who have passed in the last year and also give you the opportunity to speak the names of loved ones as a way of recognizing the gift of that person’s life. A wonderful way to connect with God as we come face to face with death – thanking God for the life we have left to live. The message on his day will be titled “An Unusual Grief” and will come from 1 Thes. 4:13

Operation Christmas Child
Great news! Last Sunday almost all of the 100 boxes were taken. The key… returning them by Nov. 14th. Click HERE for directions on packing a box. There are still a couple of empty shoe boxes available in the lobby. Also know that any shoebox sized box will work.
Children’s Celebration of Christmas
This Sunday, there will be sacks available in the lobby & gym entrance that have a list of items on them. These items cannot be bought with food stamps. The filled bags are handed out, one per family, at the end of the Children’s Celebration of Christmas evening. You can pick up an empty bag, fill it with the items listed, and return them just about anywhere around the church. They will find their way to where they are being stored.
