Signup to volunteer for the yard sale here.

Ash Wednesday Postponement

Due to the threat of severe weather on Wednesday, March 1, we decided to postpone the scheduled Ash Wednesday service to Sunday, March 5 at 6:30p. The youth will gather as normal at 6p in the youth room and eat. We will then go and participate as a group in the special Rescheduled Ash Wednesday Service at 6:30p. This service of ashes marks the beginning of Lent, and it is so important that we begin this journey together. Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend and participate in this special service for the whole church.

To help us make this Journey to the Cross this Lent, we have devotional books. If you have not picked up a Lenten Devotional Book to be used during Lent, please do so as well. They are also available online through Facebook and our website.

Baseball Classic

On March 4 at AT&T Field, our local high school baseball teams will be participating in a Baseball Classic benefitting the Catoosa Children’s Fund. I will have tickets available to those who are intersted in attending. Several of our youth are on the baseball teams, so we all can go out and cheer them on.

LFO plays Ridgeland starting at 11 a.m., Ringgold faces off against Northwest Whitfield at 1:30 p.m. and Heritage rematches against Gordon Lee at 4 p.m.

Thank you RUMC for your continued support of the Nicaragua Community Mission.  A special thanks to the cooks that prepared the meal, those that donated items for the silent auction, the wonderful bakers that baked deserts to be auctioned off, the youth that worked hard helping with the dinner, and all the wonderful and loving friends that dined, bought deserts, and other treasures.  We think when the final total is in, approx. $6800. was raised.  Thank you again for all the loving support for this great mission.
