Children’s Celebration of Christmas

Each December we host over 50 families from Catoosa County who might not otherwise be able to celebrate Christmas.  Families are recommended by the school system.  They come to the church as our special guests the night of the event.  We feed them a beautiful turkey dinner with all the fixings, including a Birthday cake for Jesus as for dessert.  Our youth put on a Christmas Program that presents the Good News and “the reason for the season”.  Children get to visit with Santa and have their picture taken and then each child receives gifts and a stuffed stocking.  Evey family also goes home with a box of non-perishable food and household items.

Although this happens once a year, preparation and planning is ongoing.
