Recycling Ministry

Recycling date April 13th & 27th
As God calls us to be good stewards of the Earth, the RUMC recycling team works toward that aim by providing a drop-off point for church members and others participating in this mission.  We collect the following clean and sorted materials: plastic types #1 & #2,  steel and aluminum cans, glass, newspaper, and mixed paper (please see the “Recycling Items Sheet” for further details).

All materials are donated to the Orange Grove Recycling Center on Brainerd Road in support of the wonderful work they do with the intellectually disabled.  The RUMC drop-off point is set up at the rear of the church every 2nd & 4th Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30 am).  For more information, contact Sam Plottel at 706-201-4328 or John Courtney at 423-762-6695  au1992@aol.com.
