RUMC RIDERS: Small Group for Motorcycle Riders
A small group for motorcycle riders is forming at RUMC.  We are looking for adventurous, free spirits who love to ride motorcycles on country back roads of Northern Georgia, Western North Carolina and Central Tennessee while using our senses to enjoy God’s beauty and scenery as we ride.  We will meet periodically (usually on a Saturday morning) to have fellowship, devotion and then mount our steel horses to traverse the country side.  Since the longevity of any biker’s ride is directly proportional to the amount of fuel available (gas in their bikes and food in their stomachs), many of our rides will require a rest stop at some out of the way eatery somewhere along one of those country roads in order for both bikers and motorcycles to refuel. If you have a street legal motorcycle, are an adventurous sort, love to ride, love to eat, love to enjoy God’s beauty from the seat of a motorcycle, and love to be in the company of a slightly eccentric and eclectic group of folks, then the Small Group for Motorcycle Riders is meant for you.  Contact Keith Kenney, kkenney1073@gmail.com or 678-938-1386.

Recovery Ministry
RUMC is actively pursuing the potential of a brand new Recovery Ministry for our community. It would be a
Christ-centered, Biblically-grounded recovery program that’s based on the 12 steps and the proven principals of AA, NA and Al Anon that restores the lives of individuals and/or their family members suffering from addictions and/or emotional distress.
If you would like to hear more about it or be added to the list of “people who are interested in being a part of such a ministry” contact Jennifer McSpadden. Her cell # is 423-255-9922 and her email is Jennifer@pieslingers.com.
You are also invited to come on a field trip to experience the kind of ministry we might create. There will be two opportunities: Thursday nights of Jan 3rd or 24th. Jennifer can fill you in on the details. On Saturday, Jan 26th at about 11 AM, our Church Council and other leaders will hear a presentation about how we might move forward – this is an open meeting that you are welcome to attend. Please be in prayer that we will follow God’s lead in yet another exciting and needed endeavor to love on his people!
