Presence: God’s Greatest Present.

It is so easy to lose Christmas. We forget that Christmas is all about the presence of God and not presents under the tree. Christmas is a celebration of “God with us.” God entered the world in a very special way through Jesus. Years before Jesus was born, Isaiah predicted the kind of Savior Jesus would be and the way he would enter the world. The book of Isaiah talks about Jesus being a

Wonderful Counselor who offers us the gift of guidance.
Mighty God who offers us the gift of strength.
Prince of Peace who offers us the gift of peace.
Everlasting Father offering us the gift of security.
Join us as we discover Jesus’ Presence in fresh and creative ways.

2017 Church Family Christmas Candle

Sunday November 26
Help start a new tradition at RUMC! Bring a candle from home and place it on the altar. Any size, any color, maybe even from last Christmas. Each candle represents how every person is different, but how every person is important. Each candle is part of the family. We will melt the candles together to make a large Church Family Christmas Candle that will be used during Advent Sundays and on Christmas Eve. This will be fun and meaningful. We hope you can participate.
