Beginning the Conversation – Led by Sharon Hardin & Gary Knowles
This group is for anyone wanting to discuss the future of the United Methodist Church regarding the inclusion of LGBTQ persons. A requirement is that all discussion, regardless of one’s point of view remain respectful and focused on the highest Christian ideals. Questions are welcome.
Christ Centered Parenting – Led by Tiffini Fleck & Kim Wills
Do you ever feel ill-equipped to talk about the cultural issues of our day? Designed to help you lead your children and teens in a confident and responsible way, this group will equip you as a parent to address pressing cultural topics which children of all ages. Build confidence for complicated–and sometimes uncomfortable–conversations. Equip your child with the wisdom she or he needs to become a culture shaper.
Financial Peace (University) – Led by Jonathan Walker
It’s time to stop worrying about money! Learn to make and keep a budget, dumb debt and live and give like no one else. Using Biblical principles , gain the tools and learn the lessons need to get control over your finances. There is a financial cost to this class which includes your 9-week workbook and a year of Financial Peace Membership, an online toolkit to support your journey.
Lord, Teach Me To Pray – Led by Bobby Fleck
Whether you pray daily, or you are looking for strategies to stay awake while praying, this group is perfect for all experience levels. We will learn practical tips and strategies to help us grow in prayer in our personal prayer lives (and prayers with our family). We will look at biblical, historical, and modern prayer methods, and we will take time each week to put these prayer methods into practice.
The B-I-B-L-E, the History, Accuracy, & Questions About The Bible – Led by Pastor Chris & Steven Harthorn
The Bible is complex and nuanced and often we feel we don’t understand it as well as we should. We have many questions about where the Bible comes from and how it came to be. Then some passages seem just weird or ridiculous or worse, barbaric. These 9 lessons written by Pastor Chris and co-led by Rev. Steven Harthorn will help.
The People Called Methodists – Led by Chris Hopkins
This group will delve into the history, theology, structure, and governance of the UMC. We will conclude with a look at current issues likely to be addressed at the 2020 General Conference.
The Seven Mile Miracle – Led by Mark & Heather Burroughs
This video series called Seven-Mile Miracle by Steven Furtick explores how Jesus’s seven last statements on the cross offer a proven spiritual growth path for us. You will experience the Easter message more personally than ever before as you engage the words of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, reunion. Each week we will watch a 10-minute video recorded in the Holy land and have discussion on how Jesus’s last statements can be applied to our everyday life.
Twelve Women of the Bible – Led by Tracy Brown
Each week, this group will look at the spiritual lessons learned from twelve biblical women and their implications in life today. This group will include a video lesson and questions from a small group guide.
Young Adult Ministry – Led by Alison Leon & Robbie Kellerhals
More than a group, this is a ministry for post H.S. adults through the age of 29. Small group gatherings each Wednesday night with other ministry events and programming to be determined.
