Chris Bryant

Chris is originally from southwest Ohio. As a young man he worked many years at Wesler’s Orchard in his hometown of New Paris. He played baseball, basketball, football, and ran track in his teen years. After graduating High School, he attended Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky where he played football for the Panthers and majored in Religion & Philosophy, as well as Psychology, and minored in Sociology.

Just before his 20th birthday Chris started serving churches as a student pastor. In 1999 he moved to Pike County, Georgia to pastor two small United Methodist Churches while earning his Masters of Divinity from Emory University (Candler School of Theology). After graduation, and upon being commissioned, Chris stayed at those churches as they had grown to the point of supporting a full time pastor. In 2004 he moved to Canton, Georgia where he was the Associate Pastor of Hillside UMC. In August 2006, Chris planted a church named, City on a Hill, in the Woodstock, GA area where he was a pastor for 12 years.

Chris is the father of three boys, Christopher, 17, Isaiah, 14 and Jacob, 9.

Chris has been the Senior Pastor of Ringgold United Methodist Church since June 2018.
