While some think that the church should be the place where grace and perfection abound, the reality is that there is no perfect church. The church faces the same difficulties present in the world with one difference: the church is equipped to handle the difficulties of the world. Forgiveness is the cure for the infections of greed, anger, hate, and many more.
Forgiveness is what should abound in the church as the people of God agree to show others the same forgiveness offered to them by God. How this forgiveness plays out on a moment-by-moment basis is what is so important for the church.
