You can provide the key to a better future for students in Momance, Haiti.
Through the school in the village of Momance, Haiti, the lives of children are being changed.
Our church played a central role in the community rebuilding efforts following the Haiti earthquake of 2010. When members from Ringgold United Methodist Church visited Momance for the first time in 2011, this small village had no school, no central buildings, and very little access to clean water.
Through the efforts of our church, the community identified goals for improvements. These dreams were presented to the church and money was raised to begin construction on a water well and a school building.
Now, 10 years later, there are six school rooms and a chapel with 175 students in 8 grades. In addition to education, Momance also offers a breakfast and lunch program for each student, a playground and garden, as well as a monthly medical and dental clinic for the whole community.
Momance is thriving now and helping to cover the costs for these children to get an education is the key to a better and brighter future for them.
For $25 a month, or an annual $300 one-time donation, you can cover the entire cost of a child’s education in Momance. Your sponsorship includes: one nutritious meal a day, Christian school education, teacher’s salary, cost of uniforms, any school supplies needed, and ongoing improvements and maintenance to facilities.
Of the 175 students, 31 are already sponsored. Friends of Momance, in partnership with the Missions Board and Church Council of Ringgold United Methodist Church, have set a goal of 40 student sponsorships for the church for the month of April.
We are asking you to prayerfully consider sponsoring a student today for $25 a month, or $300 annually. Click to give online.
