You’re Going To Enjoy This!

Sisters & Brothers,

Friends the internet dropped out and didn’t save my changes to the e-note.

THIS EMAIL IS WHAT I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU TODAY.  (Please delete the earlier email.)

In Worship This Sunday;

  • High School Senior Recognition
  • Special Greetings from Six (6) different RUMC Families
  • An Interview With A Front Line Medical Professional

Don’t Forget About;

  • Curbside Care & Drive-Thru Conversations, 2pm Sunday
  • We Hosted all 3 Baccalaureate Services, Bobby gave Key Note Address…
  • Happy Memorial Day!

Early in the worship service this Sunday you’ll see a special tribute to the class of 2020! We celebrate 12 graduating Seniors this year.

If you normally watch the premier on Facebook (at 9am or 11am) and you happen to tune in a little late, remember you can always watch the service in its entirety by going to

This Sunday you will also see GREETINGS from six (6) RUMC families. We want to help you stay connected. You’ll enjoy seeing them!

I wonder who will be the next six next Sunday?…

Also as part of the service this Sunday I sat down with Kim Wills, a nurse at one of our area hospitals. I believe you’ll be blessed by the interview with her as she shares openly and candidly about her experience and her faith during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking of nurses, let me update you with a list of the nurses in our congregation. I got one wrong and missed several in my last e-note. (I deeply appreciate everyone who helped me compile this list.)

A special thanks to the nurses in our congregation (both active & retired):

Elaine Brown
Shannon Cline
Terri Cole
Carla Elrod
Darcie Hardin
Holly Howell
Melissa Jones
Tina Lambert
Casey Mountjoy
Jan Sloan
Terran Summers
Kim Wills
Ann Woody
Brenda Young

The Staff and I invite you to some “Curbside Care & Drive-Thru Conversations” this Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm-3:00pm.

We’d love to see your faces and share in some brief conversation as you form a line, stay in your cars and the Staff and I greet you around the circle or “drive thru” that is made. Hope to see you Sunday!

If things go well, we’re thinking we might do this again in a couple weeks (just in case you really want to participate but can’t this Sunday).

Hey a reminder that we HOSTED all three High School Baccalaureate services, providing not just our building but our recording, editing and producing capability. All three High Schools have expressed their deep appreciation.

Our very own Rev. Bobby Fleck was the key note speaker for Ringgold High School. Watch it or any of the 3 service by going to

Lastly, this Sunday is Aldersgate Sunday (I explain in the sermon) and it is also Memorial Day weekend. I hope on Monday, or sometime this weekend, you get a chance to reflect on those who gave their lives for our continued freedom.

As you do and as you also remember other lost loved ones (an emerging part of the Memorial Day tradition as well) I remind you of the grace of Jesus Christ and the free gift which is eternal life offered in His name. I am grateful that this life is not the end and for a Savior in whose hands I trust all things.

P.S.  You don’t want to miss worship this week. In fact, look for a small video teaser to play on Facebook tonight and tomorrow that shows a little bit of what you can look forward to in worship. When you see it, share it and maybe even tag some friends that you hope will join us online! “Ringgold United Methodist is your ONLINE CHURCH.
