Curriculum
Ringgold UMC Preschool uses Get Set for School by Handwriting without Tears. Get Set for School features readiness & writing, language & literacy, and numbers & math programs using a developmental approach that is based on the most relevant research about how young children learn best. We also use Zoo Phonics for language development. Zoo Phonics is a method to developed to make children strong readers and spellers using a “phono” (hearing), “oral” (speaking) “visual” (seeing) “kinesthetic” (moving) and tactile (touching)-whole brain approach. Students actually learn the sounds of the alphabet and advanced phonemic concepts through an easily understood, concrete method of presentation. Our Bible curriculum is One In Christ by Concordia Publishing House. This curriculum is designed for weekday programs. One in Christ will help young children learn about Jesus and grow in their understanding of God’s love for them.
Faculty
We have an outstanding faculty. All of our staff have either an Early Childhood Degree or an Early Childhood Teaching Certificate. All staff are cleared through a national background check and are CPR/First Aid Certified.
Each staff person strives to be a Christian example, knowing that children reflect God’s love, joy, and enthusiasm. Teaching based on love gives your child a better self-understanding and respect for others.
