Children’s Ministry
We want to provide a safe and loving environment for children. As a faithful parent, you want your child to feel God’s protective and caring grace in their lives. We want that too! Making every effort to welcome your child and make them feel at home, we hope to meet your family’s needs and look forward to your involvement. Children’s Ministry serves those in the Nursery up through Elementary Ages. For Youth information (grades 6-12), go here.

Have more questions? Below are some basics.
What do the children do on Sunday mornings?
9:00 Two services are taking place. Acoustic Contemporary & Casual Traditional
In order to provide families a service time that allows children to remain present, there will be no separate Children’s Worship during this service. There will be a nursery, and the ages may be expanded to include children who have not yet grown comfortable remaining in a service. Children’s bulletins will be available in the narthex and will cover materials that will be discussed in Sunday School. Depending upon attendance, a Children’s Moment may be offered in the future during this hour.
10:00 Small Groups/Sunday School will be taking place during this hour.
Children’s classes are all on the children’s hall. Parents should accompany children to their classroom and check in with the adult leader to ensure safety. Nursery is provided for infants through early 2’s. Children who were 2 or 3 before September will have a 2 & 3 Year Old preschool class. There is a Pre-K & Kindergarten class, a 1st & 2nd Grade class, and the 3rd-5th Grade class. If you have any questions about where your child belongs, please feel free to contact me or ask any of our teachers Sunday morning.
11:00 There are two services at this time. Contemporary & Traditional
During both of these services, there will be an invitation for children to attend a child-focused Children’s Worship time in the Children’s Tree House (on the gym stage). They will follow a yellow, green or blue banner depending upon where you are worshiping. Children are always welcome to attend this gathering, but keep in mind that the materials and activities are designed to appeal to ages 3 through 8. As your child matures beyond that age and becomes able, encourage them to begin developing a love of worshiping with the full community of faith. It’s a wonderful opportunity that you are providing for your child’s spiritual growth. Children will return from the Tree House prior to the end of each service (following the same color banner) and they will return to sit with you. For children who wish to remain in the service, a children’s bulletin is available in the narthex that corresponds with what they’ve learned in Sunday School.
What activities are there for kids on Wednesday nights?
Wednesday Night Supper kicks off our mid-week small group time. Families RSVP to the meal, which begins at 5:30. Children can enjoy a family meal and then participate in planned activities between 6:15 and 7:45 that focus on building great big hearts.
What other activities are there for children?
Throughout the year we plan outreach events that are designed to love children toward Christ. At Easter, we celebrate with our Easter Adventure event. Summer brings our sports-camp style event called LifeSport. Each fall we host a fun Fall Carnival for families in the community. And prior to Christmas, we’ll celebrate with a kid-friendly event. See our Church Calendar for dates and info.
