1 I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. 2 For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.” 3 You have said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant: 4 ‘I will establish your offspring forever, and build your throne for all generations.’”

Each Christmas, we celebrate the miracle of God’s faithfulness — the promise kept through the birth of Jesus. Psalm 89: 1-4 reminds us that God’s love and hope endure forever, even when the world feels uncertain or frightening.

Many members of RUMC have seen this promise alive in Momance, Haiti. In the faces of children learning in the classrooms we helped build, in the hands of doctors and nurses tending the sick, and in the joy of worship that rises from humble places — God’s steadfast love shines bright. It’s a reminder that His faithfulness is not confined to one place or season. It moves through us, across oceans and generations, carrying hope to the world.

This Christmas may our hearts and celebrations reflect the scripture, “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever.”
