Isaiah 7:13-14
Passage
13 And he said, “Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Devotional
Immanuel. God with us. Do you feel his presence with you? God with us. These words fill us with joy, stir our hearts and bring hope to our lives. He walks with us.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always.” When we feel that we are alone or that no one cares what is happening to us, let us remember that our true gift of Christmas is God with us. He walks with us.
Let these words from “O Little Town of Bethlehem” be our prayer in all our seasons:
“O come to us, abide with us, our Lord Immanuel!”
